Description of spherical roller bearing
Self-aligning roller bearing is designed to adapt to the circumstance of heavy load. It has
two rows of symmetric spherical rollers.The rollers may freely adjust position in the outer
spherical raceway,which may compensate the shaft deformation and non-alignment error
of bearing seat.
The quantity,length and diameter of roller in self-aligning roller bearing are the max.value
that the structure allows.The close contact between the roller and raceway ensures the
uniform stress distribution and enables the high bearing capacity of bearing.
Spherical roller bearings with two rollers, mainly bear radial load, but also can withstand
axial load in either direction. A high radial load capacity, especially suitable for heavy loads
or vibration, but can not bear the pure axial load. This kind of bearing outer ring raceway
is spherical shape, so the good performance of its self-aligning, can compensate concentricity
error.
Spherical roller bearings have double-row rollers, the outer ring has a common spherical raceway, and the inner ring has two raceways that are inclined at an angle relative to the bearing axis. This ingenious structure makes it have self-aligning performance, so it is not easy to be affected by the angle of the shaft and the bearing box seat on the error or shaft bending.
