Precision angular contact ball bearings are specially designed for high precision machines. They are available in large numbers of sizes of bores, which are almost virtually made available to every machine tools application where the bearings can be used. It has similar characteristics like a conventional angular contact ball bearings, the inner rings and outer rings ar e offset in certain angle to the bearing axis, where the loads will be transmitted across this angle through the balls. The design provides a capability to carry axial loads in one direction, in addition to radial loads. An axial force acting in one direction will be produced under a radial load, and that axial force need to be counteracted, thus angular contact ball bearings are often used in a pair or set.
